Christmas is a time of celebration, and what better way to celebrate the season's festivities than with a fun, holiday-themed manicure? Beauty & Butter salon shows us four easy nail designs that you can achieve in just a few steps.
1. Candy Cane Stripes
For this you'l need a cream base and a bright red polish for the stripes. Glitters and a shimmery glaze add to the candied effect.

First, coat your nail with the cream-colored base. Cream is important because pure white might be too stark for a sweet, candy-like motif.

Let the base coat dry a little bit before drawing bright red stripes at a diagonal.

For variation, you can even paint red swirls, like the smaller, round candies sometimes have.

To finish it off, apply a layer of silver or colored shimmer to get that sugary texture.
2. Evergreen Snowflakes
For this you'll need a deep verdant polish, a tube of white nail acrylic, and a nail brush. If you can't find nail acrylic or a brush, you can pick up a white nail pen at almost any beauty store.

First, apply a few coats of the green to get a rich, dark color.

Then using your brush and acrylic, paint on the snowflakes.

There's no exact way to do this; just paint on small fine lines and dots to come up with realitic snowflakes.

Let the coats dry before applying a clear lacquer over the whole design. This keeps it protected from nicks and scratches.
3. New Year's Eve
This New Year's Eve look is basically a black and gold French tip. All you'll need is a patent black lacquer and a shimmery gold and you're good to go.

First, paint on a base coat of black.

Then paint the gold shimmer onto the tips, being careful to keep the lines relatively even and straight.

4. Frosty Blue
Sequins are a huge trend for Fall, so why not have them on your nails too? For this you'll need a bright blue polish and a glitter lacquer.

First, you put on the base coat of azure.

Then lather on the glitters as thickly as you can,

and you're good to go!
