Fashion Watch has begun once again with the newest collections for Spring Summer 2012. This special project of the Council of Fashion Designers of the Philippines (CFDP) aims to highlight several designers' work as they are pleasantly displayed for fashion followers and industry insiders alike to feast their eyes on.

The series starts off with Jun Escario and James Reyes, which took place last September 9, 2011 at the Lobby Lounge of the Makati Shangri-la hotel. 

Known for his penchant for designing towards what women want to feel good in, Jun Escario's newest collection was inspired by his recent trips to Italy. Working around his 'Roman Holiday' theme, Jun showcased a 50 piece collection which took him nearly two months to prepare for, bringing forth fresh creations that are perfect for the warmer climates of the upcoming season. Presenting designs in hues of white and blue that are reminiscent of the colors of the seascape, his pastel numbers and printed designs integrated well with his choice of fabrics, which ranged from silk jersey, chiffon, cotton knit and silk. Proving his mastery of the womanly form, he also presented eight menswear looks that underscored his infalliable technique as one of the most sought after designers in the country today.

To add more glamour, the designer accentuated his creations with the use of gold leaf-inspired accessories from Vero by Gladys Young (which we loved!) and shoes from Monica Fig.
