If there’s anything we Filipinos love to do, it’s to sing. And if there’s an artist who might top our list both in talent and in sheer presence, it would be Whitney Houston.

By now we’ve all heard the tragic news of her passing. The 48-year-old was found dead yesterday in her Beverley Hills hotel room. But she leaves behind an astronomical legacy, a musical career that spans three decades, and a voice that to this day reverberates throughout the world, especially in the Philippines.
